About
The Malga seminar, in its current format, started in 2009 as a venture between
the Universities of Padova and Verona, organised by Lidia Angeleri Hügel and
Silvana Bazzoni. The name Malga is a wordplay: it is an acronym for Moduli,
Algebre e Anelli and it is also a local mountain hut serving as shelter for
shepherds and livestock. In the years of the pandemic the seminar went online
and in 2021 and 2022 Lleonard Rubio y Degrassi joined the organising team. The
seminar is currently organised by
Lidia Angeleri Hügel
,
Alessio Cipriani
and
Jorge Vitória
. It has a monthly cadence and a hybrid format (in person and live on zoom).
