About
The collaborative links between representation theorists in Padova and in Verona go back a few decades. This website provides a platform to showcase to the scientific community our research interests, our research outputs and the various activities promoted by both subgroups, as well as to provide information to interested students.
The name Malga group stems from the Malga seminar. The Malga
seminar, in its current format, started in 2009 as a venture between the
Universities of Padova and Verona, organised by Lidia Angeleri Hügel and
Silvana Bazzoni. The name Malga is a wordplay: it is an acronym for
Moduli, Algebre e Anelli and it is also a local mountain hut
serving as shelter for shepherds and livestock. In the years of the pandemic
the seminar went online and in 2021 and 2022
Lleonard Rubio y Degrassi
joined
the organising team. The seminar is currently organised by
Lidia Angeleri Hügel
,
Alessio Cipriani
and
Jorge Vitória
. It has a monthly cadence and a hybrid format (in person and live on zoom).
